When I married the most charming man, I couldn’t have predicted my life would become a true crime story.
While I like to consider myself an author, an actor and a communications professional, I didn’t want to call myself a survivor. But I know that’s what I am. Betrayal begets shame and that’s a terrible place to live. And that’s why I’ve written my story.
I also know I’m not alone. While my story may be an extreme example, there is a large and growing segment of people keeping financial secrets. A 2023 Bankrate study says that 39% of U.S. adults who are married, in a civil partnership or living with a partner have engaged in financial infidelity, or keeping financial secrets, from their current partner. More dramatically, financial abuse occurs in 98% of abusive relationships. My story can inspire and empower others who may be experiencing these types of relationship issues.

Two Weeks to $10 Million: A Memoir of Financial Infidelity, Fraud and Redemption (working title)
…..tells the story of how Anne’s marriage to a charismatic con man devolved into a true crime story rife with forged loans, mob hits and federal indictments and a criminal trial.
Why write a book?
It’s important to tell our true stories. No matter what has happened, we must move forward. Every life has meaningful pain and it can open us up to new understandings, opportunities and great new chapters in our lives.
